Cape Town has the most beautiful sunsets

★★★★★

Cape Town must be the city with the most amazing atlantic sunsets - toasting the day away with some sparkling wines and a view on table mountain as well as robben island is really a special occassion. the boat is an old fashioned sailing boat that adds to the romance of the event!

Amazing sunset cruise

We booked a sunset cruise on the evening we arrived in Cape Town. The guides were really friendly and welcoming. We were offered sparkling wine for free, other drinks could be bought. We had some good wind, so we were able to sail for a while. We managed to see many seals and also some dolphins. All in all it was an amazing evening with great views to the city.

Excellent boat tour....30 minutes & a lot of fun

Waterfront Adventures is a small boat company located at the Cape Town waterfront that provides entertaining boat tours and short cruises. I very much enjoyed the 30 minute tour of the Cape Town bay that they provided us in November. Although we paid less than $8 USD per person, we got a huge amount of value out of the tour. First we saw some seals playing in the water, which allowed the small boat to get within 5 feet. We learned about the different ships and boats anchored at the harbor, including race boats on their way to Abu Dhabi, fishing vessels, container transport ships, and ships that are assisting in laying down telecom cables. Then we got a great view of Table Mountain from the ocean. Many interesting buildings were visible from the ocean, including the old captain's watch tower (I forget the real name for this). Finally, we saw some type of birds ( I think they were South African cormorants) nesting on the pier. And we saw some seals that were sleeping in some tires by the pier too. The tour guide on the boat gave an enjoyable and funny narration of the tour, constantly cracking jokes. The only thing I didn't like about the tour is that on occasion the water can splash up into the boat, getting the passengers a tiny bit wet. But don't let this stop you from enjoying a CHEAP but EXCELLENT VALUE tour in cape town.
